What is Elos Hair Reduction?
Using revolutionary Elos Technology, our systems first preheat the target using optical energy, which creates a thermal path on which the radio frequency (RF) travels. RF is delivered directly to the hair follicle, which can not conduct RF. The build up of current density results in 4x heat coefficient thermal transfer. Under 80X magnification, distinct peri-follicular coagulation or bleaching is evident. The hair follicle is terminally disabled and denatured.
Elos hair reduction is performed by our specially trained Elos specialists, who distribute the radio frequecy directly onto the skin. The hairs are disabled in their active growth cycle at the time of treatment. Since hairs enter their growth cycle at different times, several treatments are necessary to disable all of the follicles in a given area.
The perception with the general public today is that the term “permanent laser hair removal” implies exactly so. How far from the truth this is. There is nothing available today in the market anywhere that can permanently (implying forever) remove all hairs from an area. The more accurate term for such a treatment is “long term hair reduction”. Hair is dramatically reduced over a course of treatments on a long term basis, but certainly not permanently.
